Eclipse Biofarmab Beetroot is a feed supplement for horses. Rich in vitamins (A, E, C and B vitamins) and contains various minerals (e.g. potassium, calcium, magnesium, sodium, copper, phosphorus and iron) that help maintain the horse's daily nutrient intake. Beetroot also contains folic acid which affects metabolism and the production of red blood cells.

Beetroot contains some sucrose, but the fiber in beetroot is mostly water-soluble, which means that beetroot, despite its sugar content, has a blood sugar-balancing effect. The water-soluble fiber forms a gel in the intestines and thus slows down glucose absorption, which in turn slows down the rise in blood sugar. The red pigment in beetroot (betanin) is a strong antioxidant that protects cells and blood vessels against free radicals. Beetroot can be used to increase endurance and speed up recovery.
