Kentucky Tendon Grip sock
Tendon Grip Sock from Kentucky.
A protective sock that protects the horse's legs from chafing from leg guards, wounds, bacteria, fungus or dirt and also provides extra support for the leg. Antibacterial materials have the advantage that bacteria do not stick to the fabric and thus do not get to the horse.
Can also be used to place ice packs on the legs for cooling after exertion or higher up on the leg where ice pads and the like cannot reach. Horses with sensitive legs and vertebrae can benefit from wearing the protective stocking under the leg pad to create a "second skin" that prevents and counteracts chafing.
A tip is to attach the sock to the shin guard with Tesa tape to make it sit even more firmly in place. The protective sock can be used several times and is machine washable at 30 degrees.
The stocking is 3 m and can be cut as desired.
