The Oster A6 Slim trimmer has 3 speeds:
Stage 1 has 3100 double strokes per minute (this means the cutting head moves back and forth 3100 times) for cutting thin fur.
Stage 2 has 3600 double strokes per minute for medium thick fur.
Stage 3 has 4100 double strokes per minute and is suitable for areas with thick fur.

Important: To ensure a long life for the cutting head, you should oil the head every 3-4 minutes when trimming your pet. This is also described in the user manual. If there is too little oil between the teeth in the cutting head, metal rubs against metal, which causes the cutting head to wear out quickly.
