Veredus Carbon Gel Vento front
Carbon Gel Vento front protector from Veredus. The protector has double ventilation that provides perfect conditions for the horse's legs. Vento has been thoroughly tested by Marcus Ehning, among others. The secret lies in the innovative layers of material inside the protector: the innermost layer, which is in contact with the horse's legs, is in two-way stretch for maximum comfort. The middle layer is Aerox, microperforated neoprene, the microscopic holes are designed to let heat through from the leg. The outermost layer is a special 3D material with mesh, this material makes it easier for the warm air to move upwards.
The shock-absorbing shell has ventilation holes at the bottom where cool air is sucked in and additional holes at the top where warm air is pushed out. Carbon Vento combines the protection of carbon fiber and shock-absorbing gel with the benefits of double ventilation. The heat from the horse's legs passes through the inner and middle layers and is distributed in the 3D mesh. Cool air is sucked in through the lower ventilation hole thanks to the horse's movements and pushes the heat collected in the 3D layer upwards and out through the upper ventilation hole. The ventilation is therefore both horizontal - from the inside and outwards - and vertical - from the bottom and upwards: an innovative technology, used for the first time in shin guards!
The shell is anatomically designed to provide maximum freedom for the vertebra and knee. The shape provides maximum comfort and fits perfectly over the horse's tendons. The shell is composed of two separate parts, with different thicknesses and flexibility. The main shell is composed of semi-hard polyurethane and the rear X-shaped shell is hard polyurethane. The X-shell is covered in carbon fiber, which is an extremely durable, protective, lightweight and shock-absorbing material. Over the carbon fiber shell is a 3mm layer of gel, which is shock-absorbing and provides high comfort. It has two elastic straps with button closures, providing perfect closure and preventing 'overload' due to too tightly tightened straps. This also makes the protectors easy to take off and put on.
NOTE: The protector in size S looks a little different. Since the protector is smaller, the ventilation cannot be in the same place, see image above.
