Bomber's 2 1/2-Ring Snaffle Lock Up

Bomber's multi-ring bit introduces neck pressure and also creates a small leverage on the mouthpiece. The 2 1/2-Ring bit is the mildest version of the multi-ring bit available, as the lower small ring is welded into the large bit ring. This therefore provides less leverage, compared to a full ring below the bit ring. In Sweden, multi-ring bits are often also called Pessoa bits. The Lock Up mouthpiece prevents the nutcracker effect, which reduces the pressure on the reins. The Snaffle Lock Up is therefore milder than the Snaffle, but it still puts pressure on the tongue and reins when the reins are shortened.
