Bomber's Kimblewick Happy Tongue

The Bomber Kimblewick is similar to a pelham bit and the strength of a Kimblewick varies depending on the rider's hand position. The reins slide on the D-shaped bit ring. If the hands are lowered before the rein is taken, the reins will slide slightly and the bit will end up at a 45 degree angle in the mouth. This causes the bit to act in a downward and backward movement on the horse's jaw, this is combined with a certain pressure on the neck and causes the horse to lower its head. Supplied with a nylon jaw strap. Happy Tongue is a stable mouthpiece. It is curved with a gate that allows maximum tongue freedom. This is Bomber's most successful design by far - recommended for all young horses and those showing sensitive signs. The 4 available gates have been scaled to each width. This ensures a precise fit over the lanes and eliminates the play that occurs when the gate is too wide. Happy Tongue is also available as a straight mouthpiece which is slightly stronger.
