Trust Sweet Iron Full Cheek 3-piece

The Trust Sweet Iron Full Cheek 3-piece combines an anatomically shaped mouthpiece with a guiding side piece – perfect for horses that need more distinct help and stability in the mouth.

The 3-piece mouthpiece follows the natural shape of the horse's mouth thanks to its ergonomic design. The centrally placed link distributes pressure evenly across the tongue, providing a softer and clearer contact than a two-piece bit.

The Full Cheek side piece has two vertical bars, which provide extra lateral pressure against the cheeks. This improves steering – especially when turning – and is therefore ideal for young horses or horses that are easily unsteady in the mouth. In addition, the bit sits more firmly in the mouth thanks to the fixed ring.

Unlike D-ring bits, the Full Cheek has a smaller ring, which reduces leverage. TRUST has also designed the upper bars with a slight outward bend, so they don't get caught in the noseband - a small detail that makes a big difference in practice.

Sweet Iron gets its blue color when heated and reacts with moist air by lightly rusting. The roasting process gives a sweet taste that increases saliva production and improves the horse's acceptance of the bit.
