The Trust Sweet Iron Baby Pelham Two-Piece gives the rider more control while maintaining a soft contact with the horse. The two-piece mouthpiece has a simple joint that directs pressure to the lanes and sides of the tongue, providing a clear but compliant support. Many horses appreciate this type of direct contact - especially those who do not like bits that press on the center of the tongue.

Because the Baby Pelham version has shorter shanks, it provides a gentler leverage effect than a traditional Pelham. The pressure is on the horse's neck and chin, which in turn helps the rider frame the horse without being too sharp. You can ride with two reins for more precision. Or you can attach a pelham delta between the rings and use one rein for easier handling.

To increase stability and avoid pressure points around the chin, a cheek chain is included, which you adjust for optimal fit.
