Fager Fredric is recommended if you would describe your horse as the following:- Easily gets chafing or sores at the corners of the mouth.
- Abnormal wear on the first molars (P2).
- Needs more flexibility than a straight bite
- Sensitive lanes.
- Has pointed lanes.
Fredric is a three-piece titanium bit with Baby Fulmer side pieces.
This design is ideal for sensitive horses that easily get chafing and sores as it has a 100% smooth surface, even around the breaks.
The center piece breaks off at the side of the tongue and molds comfortably in the mouth. The side pieces relieve the mouth from constant pressure by designing the top ring that lifts the bite. The unique mouthpiece has the same thickness all the way through without any breaks that can reach and press against the lingual or palate.
Fredric is made with Fager's NEW Anoblast™ technology which provides the highest quality titanium bit on the market. The grey colour comes from a natural process during production so no other colouring is required.
Fagers mouthpieces always have a horizontal shape and therefore never have a large forward bend. We do this to get a correct balance point (BP) in the mouth. A bit with a larger forward bend also moves the balance point, which stops the effectiveness of the aids. This makes the bit stable and provides clear reins. This design also prevents injuries such as wounds, pressure injuries and chafing on the lines.
NOTE: The balance point will still be correct, even if it has a slight bend over the tongue.
