Fager John Baby Pelham

Fager John is a three-piece bit. The mouthpiece design is the same thickness throughout without any breaks that can press against the tongue or palate. The soft breaks are designed to not give any point pressure on the tongue, tongues or palate. This makes the bit a comfortable bit that follows the shape of the mouth.

The straight, slim design enhances your reins and creates more direct and precise contact.

An ideal design for a sensitive horse that can also easily get sores in the corner of the mouth and inside of the cheek.

The side parts give a framing feel.

We recommend either using the pelham with a delta rein or two reins, one in the large loose ring and one in the small ring.

With two reins you can easily adjust how much leverage you want from the bit by shortening or lengthening the rein attached to the bottom ring. With more leverage you get a slightly lower neck and more power, with less leverage you can instead get the horse up a little more in the neck and a little less power. If you use Fager's adjustable delta you have the same choice without having to use 2 reins.
