Fager John is the perfect choice If you would describe your horse as the following;

• Pulls the reins out of your hands but is sensitive at the same time.
• Easily gets sores or chafing at the corners of the mouth.

John is a three-piece fullcheek bit. The entire bit, including the breaks, is 100% soft which creates even pressure in the mouth. This is good for horses that need to become calmer in the mouth and find even contact with the hand.

Breaks are designed to never push up on the palate or create uneven pressure between the lanes. The center section breaks off at the side of the tongue and molds comfortably in the mouth.

This design is ideal for horses that easily get chafed or bruised.

The straight design makes the bit stable and provides clear reins.

The guard bars create a clear frame for the horse and prevent the bit from sliding too far sideways. This makes it easier to turn and keep the horse framed if it has a tendency to fall out with its shoulders, for example. The bit lies more still in the mouth. These features make bits with guard bars good for young horses and sensitive horses.
