Julia's mouthpiece is designed to follow the horse's natural shape and provide less constant pressure.

The copper roll is higher than the side parts, which provides point pressure against the tongue when pulling the reins. This helps you to retrieve more easily and smoothly and return to a softer support to the hand.

Rollers also give the horse something to play with, which can help horses that occasionally become mute in their mouths.

Julia has a lot of flavor in both the copper roll and the sweet ore coating on the side parts, which gives a nice suction and increased acceptance until the bite. At the same time, the copper roll helps to get a quick response from the reins if the horse becomes too strong or dumb.

We recommend either using the pelham with a delta rein or two reins, one in the large loose ring and one in the small ring.

With two reins you can easily adjust how much leverage you want from the bit by shortening or lengthening the rein attached to the bottom ring. With more leverage you get a slightly lower neck and more power, with less leverage you can instead get the horse up a little more in the neck and a little less power. If you use Fager's adjustable delta you have the same choice without having to use 2 reins.
