Fager Marcus is a good choice if you would describe your horse as the following;

• Pulls the reins out of your hands but is sensitive at the same time.
• Easily gets abrasions, wounds or similar at the corners of the mouth.
• Can be strong but at the same time sensitive.
• Needs stability.
• Gets high in the neck.

Fager Marcus is a three-piece bit with tongue freedom. The mouthpiece design is the same thickness throughout without any breaks that can press against the tongue or palate. The soft breaks are designed to not give any point pressure on the tongue, tongues or palate. This makes the bit a comfortable bit that follows the shape of the mouth.

The straight, slim design enhances your reins and creates more direct and precise contact.

The side pieces are good for creating a frame for horses that have a tendency to get stuck in the hand.

We recommend either using the pelham with a delta rein or two reins, one in the large loose ring and one in the small ring.

With two reins you can easily adjust how much leverage you want from the bit by shortening or lengthening the rein attached to the bottom ring. With more leverage you get a slightly lower neck and more power, with less leverage you can instead get the horse up a little more in the neck and a little less power. If you use Fager's adjustable delta you have the same choice without having to use 2 reins.
