Oliver is a three-piece bit with a sweet ore coating that gives a sweet taste. Sweet ore encourages the young or unbalanced horse to seek contact with the bit.

The entire bit, including the breaks, is 100% soft, creating even pressure in the mouth. The breaks are designed to never press against the palate. The mouthpiece naturally follows the mouth while relieving pressure from the lingual area. Oliver is a comfortable bit that molds to the natural contours of the tongue.

Fagers mouthpieces always have a correct balance point (BP) in the mouth. A bite with a larger forward bend also shifts the balance point, which stops the effectiveness of the aids.
