Fager Stephanie is recommended if you would describe your horse as the following;

• Stiff and possibly mute response for your helpers
• Strong, can pull the reins out of his hands and put himself on the bit
• Trying to put the tongue over the bite
• Irritated and struggling to free himself from pressure

Stephanie is a perfect choice for a horse that likes to lie down in your hand and become mute to your aids, but is still sensitive to a hard hand. Fager Stephanie's design relieves the constant pressure from the tongue, which in combination with the low weight and the roller's point pressure on the tongue when taking the reins gives you a quick reaction.

The anatomical shape of the mouthpiece follows the natural shape of the mouth and distributes pressure evenly between the reins and tongue. This bit is often appreciated by horses with a large, sensitive tongue.

The short center piece reduces the risk of the bit coming into contact with the palate because the break is placed on the outside of the tongue. Stephanie also suits horses with a low and/or short palate with a large, sensitive tongue. These horses can otherwise be difficult to find a suitable bit for.

The roller on the bit means that you get a point pressure only when pulling the reins, which means you get clear reins but also clear yield.
