Chin strap with three-point fastenings in synthetic leather, quick release buckle and a soft tunnel made of Cooldry material.
You can also easily adjust the size at the back using the dial system and the adjustable chin strap.
The inner lining is removable and is made of a Cooldry material that dries quickly and keeps the head cool, also machine washable at 40°C.

WHAT IS MIPS?

MIPS stands for Multi-directional Impact Protection System and is a Swedish invention. In a helmet with a MIPS system, the shell and liner are separated by a low-friction layer ( LFL ). This is a thin layer of low-friction plastic suspended in rubber mounts. The low-friction layer allows a sliding movement of 10-15 mm, in all directions, and is also designed to reduce rotational movement of the brain in a collision. This low-friction layer is located between the EPS foam (expanded polystyrene) and the pads that come into contact with the user's head.

If the helmet is subjected to an oblique impact, which is the most common type of impact in a fall, the low friction layer allows the helmet to slide in relation to the head, this aims to reduce the risk of head trauma, such as concussion.

What distinguishes a regular helmet from a helmet with a MIPS system is primarily that regular helmets are developed and designed to protect the individual's skull and against impacts created from a linear impact, i.e. straight from the side or straight from above.
