The generous tongue freedom reduces pressure on the tongue and contributes to a reduced risk of the horse putting its tongue over the bit. The Verbindend bit has also been shown to reduce the load on the corners of the mouth, which contributes to better healing of mild mouth ulcers. This curved bit is also good when you want to get the horse in shape and get freedom in the horse's shoulder. One of the most lifting bits that is appreciated by many dressage riders.
