Vet Provide Flair Stripe Noseband horse
Flair Strip nose tape is withdrawal-free from the Swedish Equestrian Federation and the FEI. It makes breathing easier for the horse, as it supports the soft tissues over the nasal cavities to improve airflow and reduce airway resistance when the horse needs to take in extra oxygen. The improved airflow to the lungs reduces fatigue.
The product does not contain any drugs and is developed by veterinarians with clinical evidence that it makes breathing easier. When the airflow to the lungs is improved, horses do not get as tired and they have the energy to work more. It has been proven that with the nose tape, up to 5-6% less energy is used. Recovery after a work session is shortened as the horse gets back to normal faster and it is easier to recover with improved airflow. The improved airflow puts less strain on the fragile blood vessels in the lungs, which results in fewer broken blood vessels. The nose tape is attached with self-adhesive glue that is easy to remove.
Available in the colors brown, white and black.
Instruction
- Store the nasal strip at room temperature. Strips exposed to extreme heat or cold can damage the medical adhesive, resulting in it not adhering properly. If it is cold outside, we recommend placing the strip inside your jacket for 5-10 minutes before applying it so that the strip warms up to at least room temperature.
- Apply the nose tape at least 30 minutes before your workout.
- It should be applied to a clean and dry bridge of the nose. Use a clean and dry cloth and a paper towel to remove dirt and oil before application. DO NOT use water or jelly on the application area.
- The surface should not be cut before. As it has a unique glue that flows into the horse's hair. The glue is developed for the horse's health and safety.
- Before applying, bend the flapped edges to form a crease. Forming a crease on the flaps of the strip helps the flaps to stick better to the horse's nose.
- DO NOT touch the adhesive before applying the strip. Touching the adhesive will reduce the ability of the strip to stick to your horse.
- Apply FLAIR Strips two finger widths above the horse's nostril. This placement provides optimal support for the soft tissue in the nasal passage.
- To remove: peel gently but firmly from the top corner towards the center. Self-adhesive may cause slight hair loss, which is experienced during normal shedding.
